JOHN W. JACK LAND

John W. Jack Land is of counsel at NELSON. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and the Jackson School of Law. He was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1971.

Land then served as law clerk to the Honorable Henry Lee Rogers of the Mississippi Supreme Court from 1971-1972. He held the position of City Judge of Rosedale, Mississippi from 1973-1978. He is a member of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the South Central Mississippi Bar Association.

Land proudly served as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, in the United States Army Reserve. Jack Land practices in commercial and business litigation; domestic relations; family law; insurance law; premise liability; wills, trusts and estate administration; and general litigation.
